We’ve all been there. Sitting on the floor of the bathroom, aimlessly wandering the aisles of Target, or hiding in our car, wondering when was the exact moment parenting got so hard? Where along the way did I mess up? Surely, it wasn’t this hard for other parents. Were they better than me? That must be it. They were just better than me. And that is what we believe.

I have worked with hundreds of moms over the years- as an elementary school teacher, as a mom-group facilitator, as the owner of MamaCon, the largest conference designed just for moms in the Pacific Northwest, and as a life coach for moms – and every single one of them felt ill-equipped or even highly unqualified for the massive responsibility of raising tiny humans into whole, healthy and functioning adults.

And, not only does parenting test our ability to model good behavior for our kids, it also unexpectedly shatters the walls that we built up to protect ourselves from our old hurts, wounds, and possible trauma from our own childhood.

Parenting is not for the weak. But like anything that knocks you down, you get back up after the storm, assess the damage, and start to rebuild. I know you may think that other parents are better than you at parenting, but that’s not it. Most likely, they are better at storm-protection, storm-control, or storm cleanup. They are using their 5 Seasons to rebuild.

The 5 Seasons of Connection philosophy came to me in a fire-hose moment one day and I couldn’t keep up with all the ideas that flooded through me. I saw the seasons, all five of them, what they stood for, why they mattered, and how we use them to navigate through our relationships with our kids. Creating this framework completely changed my family because it changed me, and once I shared it with my coaching clients, it changed their families too. I hope you are ready!

Think of The 5 Seasons Strategy as your personal forecast tool and storm-management system to help you in every season because when a cold-snap hits, you’ll want to know that it’s a day for fuzzy socks, not flip flops!

I wish you so much encouragement and love on your journey through the 5 Seasons, and I can’t wait to hear how you are transforming your family using these ideas!
